The Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough

Ten Schools, Three Districts, One Community of Learners

Our Mission

In the Southborough Extended Day Program (SEDP), we believe that providing an engaging, enriching, safe, active, fun, and secure environment is essential to the social, emotional, and academic growth and development of our students. SEDP provides students with the freedom to participate in recreational programming, socialize with their peers, and the ability to relax from their school day. SEDP students benefit greatly by the variety offered, helping them improve physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively. SEDP focuses on building positive relationships, developing social skills, strengthening self-esteem, and fostering independence, responsibility, and good decision-making. Our programs are closely supervised for safety, while allowing ample opportunity for our students to embrace their individuality in an environment that is inclusive. Activities and materials are carefully selected to appeal to the specific abilities and interests of the children at each site.
