Student Support Services
Welcome
The Northborough and Southborough Public Schools are committed to the provision of an exceptional educational experience for every student in a safe environment. We carry out this mission as the Student Support Services Team with a strong philosophy of inclusion, shaping our instructional approach to ensure that every student, regardless of ability or background, has the opportunity to thrive and fully participate in all aspects of school life.
We proudly serve students ages 3 to 22 through a wide range of high-quality programs. Our approach is guided by high quality instructional practices, research-based instruction, and data-driven decisions to meet the unique needs of each learner.
Our team also supports educators and school staff with ongoing professional development and consultation to strengthen both academic and mental health support in every classroom.
All students have access to general education support including School Nurses, Psychologists, and Guidance Counselors. For students who qualify for special education services, our team includes Special Education Teachers, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational and Physical Therapists, School Adjustment Counselors, Behavior Specialists, and other specialized supports and programming as determined by the Team.
Communication and community outreach continue to be important areas of focus in Student Support Services. Our avenues for communication include a Northborough-Southborough Parent Advisory Council, our school website, parent coffeehouses, and parent training.
Our goal is to provide services that support students' success, achievement, and smooth transitions throughout their school years, empowering them to become independent, lifelong learners, and productive citizens. At the heart of our work in Student Support Services is the shared district mission to educate, inspire, and challenge every student.
