his past week’s Titan Games were a wonderful example of what it means to intentionally build a sense of belonging across the District’s ten schools. At Friday’s Titan Games, approximately 100 student-athletes from the ten schools competed, celebrated, and came together at Algonquin Regional High School. Students participated in running, throwing, and long-jump events, beginning with an opening ceremony and concluding with a dance party and picnic lunch. New Digital Wellness Resource for Families

Dear Parent(s), Guardian(s), and Caregiver(s),

A sense of belonging is shaped by how students connect with others, both in person and online. As technology becomes an increasingly important part of their lives, helping students develop healthy digital habits is also essential to supporting their well-being and connections with family, friends, and community.

As part of the District's Strategic Plan, Vision 2032, it has launched a new Digital Wellness website for parents and guardians. The site offers practical resources to help families navigate screen time, social media, devices, online safety, and healthy technology routines.

Healthy digital habits are about more than screen time. They develop through everyday conversations, clear expectations, healthy boundaries, and adults modeling the habits we want students to develop.

Whether your child is in kindergarten or high school, small routines at home can make a difference. I encourage parents and guardians to visit the new Digital Wellness site, explore the resources, and identify one or two strategies that may be helpful for your family.

A special thank you to Mary Ellen Duggan, Wellness Coordinator and Nurse Leader, and Cathy Carmignani, Director of Instructional Technology and Science, for their thoughtful work in creating this resource for our families.

Respectfully,
Gregory L. Martineau
Superintendent of Schools
