Northborough/Southborough Public PreSchools
Our preschool program is a rich learning environment for students with and without special needs. Our program is dedicated to ensuring that all children learn and develop in a caring, supportive, fun-filled environment. Our preschool classrooms are housed at the Marion E. Zeh School in Northborough and the Mary E. Finn School in Southborough. For those preschool children who qualify for special education related services on a walk-in basis, services will continue to be offered at their neighborhood schools in Northborough or Southborough.

Child Find
It is the responsibility of The Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough to identify any child who may have a disability who is either a resident of The Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough or who attends a private school within the geographic boundaries of The Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough even if the student is not a resident of The Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough. This also includes students who are homeschooled.
The Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough is also responsible for the evaluation of those students to determine if they are eligible for special education or related services under Federal law, IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) or Massachusetts law, M.G.L. c. 71B and 603 CMR 28.00 (Massachusetts Special Education Regulations). If you suspect that your child may need an evaluation to determine eligibility for special education services, you may request an evaluation, at no cost, through The Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough, by contacting District personnel noted below.
The Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough is also committed to identifying children before their third birthday in order to provide early intervention services for three and four year-olds with disabilities. For students who will be turning three years old, the initial eligibility evaluation process for special education can begin up to 90 days before their third birthday, and a child who is found eligible for services may begin receiving services on their third birthday. If you have questions or concerns regarding your child's development and would like to have them screened, please contact District personnel noted below.
