Dear Parents/Guardians,
I invite you to join me in recognizing the many individuals across The Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough whose work supports our students each and every day.
This week provides a meaningful opportunity to pause and acknowledge that collective effort.
Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4-8), with National Teacher Day on May 5, 2026, highlights the important role educators play in creating engaging learning environments and supporting students' academic and personal growth.
We also recognize School Lunch Hero Day on May 1, 2026, honoring our school nutrition staff. Their work is essential to the daily operation of our schools, and they take great pride in ensuring that students are well cared for and ready to learn.
In addition, May 6, 2026, marks National Nurses Day and a time to recognize our school leaders. Our nurses play a critical role in supporting the health and well-being of our students, which is foundational to their success in school. Principals and administrators set the tone for schools, support staff, and work closely with families.
Each of these roles contributes to a larger purpose. Together, they help create school communities where students feel supported, challenged, and a sense of belonging. I encourage you to take a moment this week to share your appreciation. A brief note, an email, or a simple thank you goes a long way.
