| Congratulations to Woodward winners of this year’s March Math-ness ST Math Challenge! Throughout the month, classes competed to solve the most puzzles using the ST Math program, building problem-solving skills, perseverance, and teamwork along the way. This friendly competition energized students and encouraged them to push their thinking as they worked through increasingly challenging puzzles. We are excited to celebrate Mrs. Kelleher’s third-grade class for taking first place and Mrs. Farrar’s class for earning second place—an impressive accomplishment for both groups! Thank you to all of our students and teachers for making this such a fun and engaging event, and a special thank you to Mrs. Coyle for organizing the challenge. Dear Parent(s) and/or Guardian(s): The Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough is committed to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all students, staff, and families. This work depends on strong partnerships among schools, families, and community agencies.
As part of this effort, I want to highlight the District’s continued use of the “Say Something Anonymous Reporting System” for students in grades 5-12. This program has been in place in the District for many years and remains an important part of its approach to student safety and well-being.
The program teaches students and staff to recognize warning signs of individuals who may be at risk of harming themselves or others, and to take appropriate action.
Students, faculty, staff, and caregivers are encouraged to:
Recognize signs of at-risk behavior
Take concerns seriously
If you see something, say something
Report concerns anonymously through a secure app, website, or crisis center.
The program is provided through Sandy Hook Promise, a national nonprofit focused on school safety and prevention. It is research-based, age-appropriate, and provided at no cost to the District.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
Respectfully,
Gregory L. Martineau
Superintendent of Schools
