Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s),
Algonquin Regional High School’s Best Buddies chapter recently hosted its annual Friendship Ball, bringing together students from across the region for an evening centered on inclusion, connection, and celebration. This year’s theme, “Wild for Friendship,” set the stage for a fun and energetic night.
The event welcomed close to 100 attendees, including students and staff from neighboring Best Buddies and Unified programs. Participants joined from St. John’s, Shrewsbury High School, Shrewsbury’s post-grad program, Westborough High School, and the Boros program, Hopkinton, Marlborough, Wachusett, and Nashoba. The strong regional presence highlighted a shared commitment to inclusion and belonging.
The evening was organized by ARHS Best Buddies co-advisors Caitlin Hynes and Kevin Hausmann, alongside dedicated student leaders and chapter members, who created a welcoming and engaging experience for all. Students enjoyed music, dancing, and opportunities to connect throughout the night.
The Northborough Junior Women’s Club also supported the event by serving dinner and dessert and donating baked goods, contributing to the overall success of the evening.
It was a fantastic night and a meaningful celebration of friendship, made possible through the collective efforts of students, advisors, and community partners.
