Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s),

As we begin the 2025–2026 school year, I want to share some of the important goals the District is focused on. These goals come from the District’s Strategic Plan: Vision 2026, 2025-2026 Action Plan, which guides how we continue supporting ALL students in learning, growing, and feeling a strong sense of belonging.

Teaching and Learning: Teachers are working together more than ever to bring high-quality lessons to every classroom. This includes updated math, English, and social-emotional learning programs and new early literacy materials for our youngest learners.

Empowering Learners: We ensure all students can access challenging and supportive learning opportunities. This includes new ways of using student data to meet individual needs better, consistent supports across all schools, and leadership training in culturally responsive practices.

Health and Well-Being: Student well-being remains at the center of our work. This year, we’ll review how our social-emotional learning programs work and finalize a district-wide health and physical education plan.

Supporting Educators: Increasing professional growth opportunities, strengthening recruitment, and using new tools to support a strong and diverse team of educators.

Safe and Modern Schools: Behind the scenes, we’re investing in safer school facilities, better transportation systems, and improvements in energy efficiency and food services — all to make sure schools are secure, reliable, and welcoming.

These goals reflect the District’s commitment: schools that inspire curiosity, challenge students to do their best, and ensure every student feels valued and supported.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership. Together, we will make this school year meaningful and successful for all students.

Respectfully,

Gregory L. Martineau
