Last week, teachers and members of the District Technology Staff attended and presented at a conference at Gillette Stadium run by an organization named Massachusetts Computer Using Educators (MassCUE).

There was a lot of energy and information to take in at this exciting event. Presentation topics included:

  • Podcasting in the Classroom
  • Using Copyright Laws in Schools
  • Virtual Reality Field Trips
  • Internet Safety for Students
  • Coding Across the Curriculum
  • Green Screen Projects
  • And many more!

Our teachers are excited to bring these tools back to the schools of Northborough and Southborough to use with our students.

Many teachers are already using these technologies in the classroom. At Algonquin, some Spanish classes are using a Green Screen to record news broadcasts, and students in Public Speaking are using iPads to edit "Life Lessons" podcasts to be played on the school radio website. Tune in to www.arhsradio.com to listen.
