The Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough

Registration Instructions for PowerSchool

Welcome to the Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough!  To provide a seamless experience, we require all families to register their child for school electronically using the PowerSchool enrollment module.

If you have difficulty accessing or completing the registration process, please contact Jean Pinto, Transportation Coordinator and Registrar, at or (508) 486-5115. If you require translation services to complete the registration process, please see the section of this document entitled “Translation Services.” 

Preparation Checklist

Here is the list of the materials that will be needed prior to starting the registration process:

  • Immunization History
  • Physical (Medical) Examination Report from the child’s physician which must not be more than 12 months old from the date on which you are submitting your documentation.
  • Original Birth Certificate with Seal
    • An official seal is provided by a governmental agency and can be raised, embossed, multi-colored, or impressed onto the paper., accessed 12/4/20
  • Copy of current IEP (Individualized Education Plan) or 504 Plan (if applicable)
  • Legal or Custody Agreements (if applicable)
  • Residency Documentation - one document from each column

Record of recent mortgage payment and/or property tax bill

Gas/Oil Bill, Electric Bill, Home (not cell) Telephone Bill, Cable Bill, Water Bill (Note: Bill must be dated within the past 45 days and address and name must be stated)

Valid MA Driver’s License

Fully signed and executed Lease and/or Rental Agreement (Must be executed by both parties)

Recent bill dated within the past 45 days showing a Northborough or Southborough name and address (Note: A Residency Statement/Affidavit is required with this option)

Valid MA Photo Identification Card

Landlord/Owner of Property Affidavit

Occupancy Statement/Affidavit must be notarized if a bill cannot be provided prior to student’s enrollment.

Valid Passport

Fully signed and executed Purchase and Sale (P&S) Agreement (provided occupancy date occurs within 30 days of enrollment)

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long will it take to complete the registration process?
    • The PowerSchool enrollment module can be completed in approximately 15 minutes by preparing the documents in advance.
  • Do I need a computer to complete the registration?
    • A computer with scanning capabilities or a mobile phone with a camera function can be used to complete the registration and create electronic documents that will be uploaded electronically during the registration process.
  • What if I do not have all of the documents required? Can I save my progress?
    • You will be able to save the enrollment module throughout the registration process and return to complete tasks at a later time before submitting the final registration.

To begin the registration process, you will need to log into the PowerSchool enrollment module. It is important that you have the list of materials ready prior to logging into the module.

Translation Services

If you require translation services to complete the registration process, please use the following instructions to access Google Translate:

  1. Be sure you are using Google Chrome as your web browser.
  2. Navigate to the Registration Link provided in the step above.
  3. “Right Click” anywhere on the white space of the webpage and a menu will appear.
  4. Select Translate to English from the menu. The Google Translate Menu will open at the top right of the page.
  5. Click on the Ellipse to Choose Another Language. The Ellipse Icon looks like this:
  6. You will be required to translate each page of the Registration Module separately.
  7. To access the Google Translate Menu again, Click on the Google Translate Icon located on the far right hand side of the search bar. The Google Translate Icon looks like this:
