Application Process

  • Thank you for your interest in Employment with the Public Schools of Northborough-Southborough (see positions posted below).  Our district is pleased to provide an online applicant system via SchoolSpring.  This online system allows applicants to create an online employment application that can be easily updated and reused to apply for various positions without the need to reenter the information.
    If you do not have access to a computer, you may use a computer in our Human Resources Department located at 53 Parkerville Rd. Southborough, MA.  If you need assistance with the application process, please contact our human resources department.
    For all educator positions, a complete packet must include a cover letter, resume, educational transcripts, three (3) letters of professional recommendation, and Massachusetts educator licensure. Incomplete packets may not be considered.  
    What Happens After I apply?

    Applications will be reviewed by the hiring administrator in accordance with employment laws, regulations, and collective bargaining contracts. Applicants who do not indicate on the application that they possess the job posting’s minimum qualifications for the position, will not be moved forward for interview consideration.

    Offer, Acceptance and Background Checks:

    Following completion of interviews, the hiring administrator will recommend a candidate for hire. At this time, Human Resources will meet with the candidate to finalize the offer and acceptance and then ensure that background checks (including CORI, SORI, and Fingerprinting) are completed. Any offer of employment is dependent on these clearances.

    Once this process is finalized, new hires will be required to complete the required trainings.

    After successful completion of our onboarding process, you will be warmly welcomed to your new position with the Public Schools of Northborough-Southborough.

  • Individuals who are interested in working as a Substitute Teacher, Substitute Nurse, or Substitute Cafeteria Worker must complete the following paperwork located on the employment forms section of our website:

    • Application for Employment
    • Conflict of Interest - Acknowledgement of Receipt
    • Conflict of Interest - Certificate of Training Completion
    • Employment Eligibility Verification I-9
    • EPIMS Data Collection Form
    • Statement Concerning Social Security
    • Tax Form M4 - Massachusetts
    • Tax From W4 - Federal

    All employees working in the Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough must have a current CORI and complete a national fingerprinting background check.
