Mascot Review Process
In 2020, Algonquin Regional High School engaged in the process of examination of the long-time school mascot, the Tomahawk. Reviewing our mascot and considering a change has been a major undertaking, and several members of the school community generously donated their time and energy in examining the issue, as members of the Study Group for Mascot Review (November 2020 - April 2021) and/or the Mascot Renaming Study Group (July-September 2021). The Tomahawk is an important part of our school’s rich history, and both groups have endeavored to conduct this examination thoughtfully and transparently.
The materials below are presented so that all of the members of our school community may stay informed about the work of the Study Groups. If you would like to be alerted to any updates about the Groups' most recent work, please email MascotStudyGroup@nsboro.k12.ma.us and ask to be added to our mailing list.
