Monthly Message from Principal Beth Ludwig

The recent events in Haiti have encouraged us all to pause and consider our good fortune - the fortune of our families, our school, our homes and our nation. Our conscience feeds the desire to help and to "do something" - anything to ease the suffering of people in need. All students at LSS helped by making "bracelets of hope" last week during recess time. Each bracelet will be sold and all proceeds will support relief efforts in Haiti. About Lincoln Street Elementary School

Lincoln Street Bears The kindergarten through fifth grade school curriculum emphasizes the development of the whole child. To this end, the Lincoln Street Elementary School develops our classroom programs.

We accept the natural development cycle of the children and allow this development to take place at the child's individual pace, academically, socially, physically and emotionally.

Our core instructional program emphasizes the reading, language arts and math process in conjunction with social and physical sciences. We recognize that the children come to us with varying capabilities, interests and talents. Instruction is conducted through large groups, small groups and a great deal of individualization. Classroom assignments are developed in a heterogeneous basis. Students are provided with a range of classroom experiences. There is also a team of specialized teachers available for remedial support.

Our facilities include; Art Room * 18 Classrooms * Computer Lab * Gymnasium * Health Office * Library Learning Center for Reading * Media Center * Music Room * Resource Room * Speech Therapy Room * School Psychologist Room * Cafeteria with Stage
